Title: "Ogneni makove" ("Fiery Poppies")
Artist: Marchel Yameliev
Technique: Oil painting on canvas, palette knife (3D impasto technique).
Concept & Narrative: The canvas "Ogneni makove" by Marchel Yameliev recreates the elemental vitality and luminous beauty of flaming wild blossoms. Interpreted through the philosophical framework of Ascension and The Fall, rooted stems, dense greenery at the base, and organic matter symbolize natural support, physical grounding, and creation in the material world (The Fall). In radiant, purifying contrast, flaming crimson blossoms soaring vertically toward light express the inner fire of the spirit, purification from matter, and continuous spiritual Ascension.
Style & Execution: Masterful palette knife 3D impasto work. The texture is built with exceptionally thick, sculptural layers of oil paint giving real three-dimensional volume to petals and background texture. The palette combines fiery red, velvety orange, ochre, olive green, pearl beige, and lime white.
Why Invest: • Vertical Fiery Composition: An inspiring floral subject featuring a rhythmic vertical arrangement that fills space with warm energy. • Museum-Grade Quality: Crafted using the finest European oil paints on high-grade canvas. • Sculptural 3D Relief: Masterful impasto technique makes poppy blossoms physically tangible and structurally dense.
The most vivid contrast between greens and reds can be seen in May in the fields where the poppies are blooming. Picturesque approach, nice and impressive detail, lots of light. Summer natural landscape.
The composition establishes a vertical, monumental, and highly expressive format capturing a sequence of fiery wild poppies soaring upward in rhythmic vertical gradation. The color expression unfolds a fiery and explosive palette—intense flame-red, orange, cinnabar, and crimson tones of blooming blossoms contrasting with a complex, pastel golden-beige, ochre, and olive-green background imbued with nacreous nuances. The structural execution relies on exceptional plasticity and masterful 3D impasto—Marchel Yameliev's distinct artistic hand is evident in thick, relief palette knife strokes sculpting velvety petals, buds, and supple stems with sculptural depth and pronounced tactility. The canvas radiates passionate vital energy, inner fire, and luminous dynamics, transforming the floral composition into a symbol of earthly support and the simultaneous upward drive of flame and consciousness toward supreme spiritual Ascension.
