Title: "Winter"
Artist: Marchel Yameliev
Technique: Oil painting on canvas, palette knife (3D impasto technique).
Concept & Narrative: The canvas "Zima" by Marchel Yameliev captures an expressive, monumental winter landscape steeped in crystalline silence and frosty light. Interpreted through the philosophical framework of Ascension and The Fall, the dark, heavy silhouettes of bare winter trees forming the central grove, together with cold shadows and frozen earth, symbolize nature's sleep, physical trials, and earthly humbling (The Fall). In radiant contrast, the thick, sculptured drifts of pure white snow illuminated by delicate violet and blue reflections, along with the distant hillside village reaching toward the sky, evoke spiritual purity, hope, and the soul's victorious Ascension into the light.
Style & Execution: Masterful palette knife 3D impasto work. The heavy snowdrifts in the foreground are sculpted with thick, tactile layers of oil paint, giving the snow physical volume. The textured bronze-brown and ochre trees contrast sharply with the sweeping movement of the winter sky. The palette blends pure white, ivory, icy blue, lavender, and rich earth tones.
Why Invest: • Frosty Elegance & Tranquility: A powerful winter masterpiece bringing peace, spatial depth, and contemplative beauty into fine art collections. • Museum-Grade Quality: Crafted using the finest European oil paints on high-grade canvas. • Sculptural Impasto Texture: Tactile 3D snow textures interact dynamically with room lighting throughout the day.
Winter morning reveals the fabulousness of the crystal clear white, the warm shades of the Bulgarian house and its coziness. The picture reveals the dynamics of winter and the sometimes characteristic contrast in tones.
"Zima" — pure white snowdrifts, sculptured textures, and the path of spiritual Ascension!
This original oil painting by Marchel Yameliev captures the quiet majesty of a snow-covered landscape wrapped in winter stillness.
Guided by the duality of Ascension and The Fall, the heavy bare trees and frosty shadows reflect physical dormancy and earthly trials, while the luminous white snow and distant hillside village reach upward, symbolizing purity, hope, and continuous spiritual Ascension.
Sculpted with bold palette knife work in rich 3D impasto, this artwork fills any living or working space with tranquility, light, and artistic depth.
