Title: "St. George Church"
Artist: Marchel Yameliev
Technique: Oil painting on canvas, executed with palette knives (3D impasto technique).
Concept & Narrative:
The canvas "St. George Church" by Marchel Yameliev captures the sacred, peaceful beauty of a traditional church bathed in warm, divine light. Guided by the philosophy of Ascension and The Fall, the stone foundation, earthy pathway, and grounding shadows represent physical reality, human vulnerability, and earthly limitations (The Fall). In radiant contrast, the dome rising toward the sky, crowned with the cross and encircled by a glowing twilight sky, embodies spiritual victory, eternal hope, and the soul's continuous Ascension toward the Divine.
Style & Execution:
Dynamic 3D impasto palette knife technique. Thick, tactile layers of oil paint sculpt the white church walls, traditional roof tiles, vine trellis, and stone courtyard. The color palette blends golden ochres, terracotta reds, soft violet shadows, and a sky filled with rich impasto light.
Why Invest:
• Sacred Architectural Harmony: A timeless sanctuary scene bringing spiritual depth, serenity, and warmth to executive or private art collections.
• Museum-Grade Quality: Crafted using top-tier European oil paints on premium canvas.
• Over 40 Years of Impasto Mastery: Sculptural 3D texture catching ambient light dynamically from every angle.
