Title: "Slanchogledi" ("Sunflowers")
Artist: Marchel Yameliev
Technique: Oil painting on canvas, palette knife (3D impasto technique).
Concept & Narrative: The canvas "Slanchogledi" by Marchel Yameliev recreates the powerful radiant energy of the sunflower turned toward the light. Interpreted through the philosophical framework of Ascension and The Fall, dense earthly foliage, massive stems, and dark rooted centers symbolize material support, nature, and connection with earthly matter (The Fall). In radiant, purifying contrast, golden petals, the luminous impulse of blossoms, and light-filled skies express a yearning for truth, solar purification, and continuous spiritual Ascension.
Style & Execution: Masterful palette knife 3D impasto work. The texture is built with exceptionally thick, sculptural layers of oil paint giving real relief and deep tactility to petals and leaves. The palette combines velvety yellow, amber orange, ochre, green, violet, cobalt, and pure white.
Why Invest: • Classic Floral Subject: An inspiring and energizing canvas, symbol of light, abundance, and positive energy. • Museum-Grade Quality: Crafted using the finest European oil paints on high-grade canvas. • Sculptural 3D Impasto Texture: Tactile paint application makes sunflowers physically tangible and three-dimensional.
The composition establishes a square, monumental, and exceptionally sunny floral format capturing five vibrant sunflowers under a dynamic, pastel-violet sky. The color expression unfolds an explosive and warm palette—velvety golden-yellow, amber, and orange nuances of petals contrasting with deep dark brown and ochre centers, rich lush green leaves, and an ethereal purple-azure background. The structural execution relies on exceptional plasticity and masterful 3D impasto—Marchel Yameliev's distinct artistic hand is evident in thick, relief palette knife strokes that sculpt the petals and texture of blossoms with pronounced tactility and three-dimensional volume. The canvas radiates solar vitality, cosmic harmony, and warmth, transforming the floral landscape into a symbol of earthly support and the simultaneous aspiration of consciousness toward light and supreme spiritual Ascension.
