Title: "Purple Lilacs"
Artist: Marchel Yameliev
Technique: Oil painting on canvas, palette knife (3D impasto technique).
Concept & Narrative: The canvas "Liuliaci lilavi" by Marchel Yameliev presents an elegant floral still life showcasing vibrant purple lilac blossoms in a transparent blue glass vase. Guided by the philosophical framework of Ascension and The Fall, the rounded glass vessel holding water and the rich, dark violet shadows at the base reflect physical boundaries, material storage, and earthly grounding (The Fall). In luminous contrast, the sculptured, pale violet and pink-tinted flower clusters blooming upward, paired with the light reflections through the glass and neutral impasto backdrop, symbolize spiritual rebirth, springtime scent, purity, and continuous Ascension into the light.
Style & Execution: Masterful palette knife 3D impasto work. Each individual blossom cluster is sculpted with heavy, tactile layers of oil paint, creating a striking contrast with the glossy transparency of the blue glass vase. The color palette blends intense plum, magenta, and deep purple with emerald green foliage, turquoise blue accents, and a soft, pearl-beige impasto background.
Why Invest: • Classic Elegance & Freshness: A timeless floral composition bringing spring fragrance, color, and tranquility into fine art collections. • Museum-Grade Quality: Crafted using the finest European oil paints on high-grade canvas. • Sculptural Impasto Texture: Tactile 3D paint application catches light dynamically, creating rich sculptural volume across every petal.
A bouquet of purple lilacs in a vase by the window sprays their scent. They stretch colors and bring more spring freshness and good mood!
